Spybot and I got in a bit of trouble at SI:7 after our <u><a href="http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/" target="_blank" style="color:#000000">recent "information leak"</a></u> regarding those female spybots (guess their absense is <i>working as intended</i>). Erm, anyways... I want to tell you about our latest mission! Those egotistic Goblin merchants have been threatening to unleash their <b>secret weapon</b> on Stormwind if we don't start buying more Goblin goods, and Spybot and I have been assigned the task of stopping them. Spybot has already been sent undercover at Booty Bay to see what information he can obtain, but I'm concerned about his loyalty to the agency after that last fiasco... I've arranged a backup plan, and I need your help. The competition is being co-sponsored by SI:7. In an effort to stimulate the WoW economy, SI:7 has begun erecting giant VideoBots all over Azeroth. These "animated billboards" will display advertisements for all sorts of goods, and encourage adventures buy buy buy! SI:7 has given us the task of creating the necessary video clips. The Challenge: Create a 30 second video advertisment to display on the VideoBots. Your commercial should advertise a WoW product, event, or organization. Some ideas:

The Prize: Who needs a prize? :) Just participating and being a part of your community is a ton of fun! For those of you driven to aquire more worldly possessions, we aim to please. (1) One Grand prize: World of Warcraft Gamecard - two months free gameplay (3) Three First prizes: Three Azzor tshirts will be given out. We welcome any additional prizes you or your organization would like to donate to this and future contests. Send us an email. The Judging: Entries will be judged on creativity and effort. You don't have to be a professional video editor. Use your imagination, and have fun with this. Humor is great, but not necessary. Volon and Dalgar will be judging the competition. They will choose four finalists. On Monday, August 1, 2005, the finalists will be announced. Voting will be opened here at WoW Azzor for the next week. On Monday, August 8, 2005 , we will announce the winners. The Details:

A good program for taking ingame video footage is Fraps. Some guides to using DIVX compression can be found here. Entries can be emailed to by 11:59 PM (EST) on July 30, 2005.
