If you’ve started from part 1 and you’re already here, you’re on your way to getting rich using inscription. This is the last part of the Inscription Gold Making guide. Of course there will be other posts about tips and tricks. But in general, once you’ve read through part 1 to 4, you’ve already started your glyph factory. Now, this guide will be about setting Auction Profit Master so that you will be able to post your numerous glyphs with one click.


Open up Auction Profit Master config by typing /apm config . We are now going to create an item group named glyphs. Press okay.
 

Now that you have your item groups, you can set the auction settings. There are a lot of configurations that can be done here. There’s no ONE WAY of doing this. This is really up to you and your server’s economy. But for the sake of giving an example, here are my settings. If you do not understand what the setting is all about, you can mouse over the setting name (in this picture, Post Cap) and it will give you a brief explanation about it. If you are only planning to post glyphs with quick auctions, you do not have to click all the “Override” settings. Instead, you can set all of them on the generals tab on the left. But I’m sure you will find Auction Profit Master for posting other things to sell as well, so it will be better to organize them in item groups, each having their own setting.


Scroll down a bit and you will see the price settings. Again, the figures are just examples. You will see a summary of what you just configured to help you understand more what you just did. For example, in my setting it says “undercutting auctions by 10s/per item until price goes below 3g per item unless there is greater than 45% price difference between lowest and second lowest in which case undercutting second lowest auction”.



Scroll down a bit and you will see the Fallback price. Here it means that if the lowest glyph price falls below 3g, yours will be posted at 30g. If you do not like this setting, disable “auto fallback”. Also, based on my settings on “override max price” if there are glyphs which are priced at 260% more than my fallback price, Auction Profit Master will post my items at 30g. This is useful for those people trying to mess up the market by posting items at a very very high price (say, 5000 gold).



Now, go to the Add Items tab. You will see all of the items in your bags. Sorry, my bag is a mess. Find the glyphs that you just made and click them. You only need to do this once. But the thing is, there are tons of glyphs, so make sure they are added or else Auction Profit Master will not post them.



Talk to the auctioneer guy and click on the auctions tab below. You will see a “post” button at the top. Click that and Auction Profit Master will automatically post your glyphs. Since patch 4.0.1 it will be required to press a button to post each item that you have.



Now, go to the generals tab. Check on Smart Cancelling. This disables the auto canceling feature if the lowest priced glyph is below your threshold. For example, your threshold is at 3g, but the lowest is 1g, Auctions Profit Master will not cancel your glyphs anymore. Also, smart cancelling will cancel your glyphs if it’s the only one posted at the moment so you can relist it with your fallback price.



Once in a while, check your auctions if someone has already undercut them. Talk to the auctioneer guy and you will see a “Cancel” button at the top. Click that one and Auction Profit Master will scan your posted items. In this example, there’s nothing to cancel which means no one undercut my glyphs. If there are, you will get a notification to cancel your posted glyphs. Since patch 4.0.1, you need to press a button for every item you need to cancel.
